The American Ambassador presents his compliments to His Excellency the Apostolic Nuncio and begs to acknowledge the receipt of His Excellency's communication ol [sic] July 28th on the subjects of the presentation by the Diplomatic Corps of an Address to President von Hindenburg on the occasion of the President's 80th birthday and to express his admiration of the felicitous draft thereof proposed by His Excellency the Apostolic Nuncio to which he is happy to affix his signature on the separate cheet [sic] enclosed for the purpose, which is herewith returned.
With sincere thanks for this happy service on behalf of the Diplomatic Corps, the American Ambassador gladly avails himself of the opportunity to renew to His Excellency the Apostolic Nuncio the assurance of his highest esteem and regard.
